KEYNOTE CONVERSATION WITH DEUN IVORY

deun ivory is a creative visionary, multidisciplinary artist and founder of the body: a home for love, a 501(c)3 and wellness space shifting culture around how black women heal from sexual trauma. her work as a creative director is rooted in making the world a better place for black women by creating art and experiences that promote self-care, self-love and sustainable joy.
THE INNER[BLACKGIRL]CHILD HEALING CIRCLE WITH REE BOTTS OF BLACKGIRLHEALING
April 29th, 12:00pm - 1:30pm
the inner[blackgirl]child workshop, inspired by reelaviolette botts-ward's first book, mourning my inner[blackgirl]child, is an intimate sister circle gathering that combines poetic performance, creative mirror work and journaling practice to invite Black womxn deeper into spiritual restoration through inner child healing.
ON THE MEND WRITING WORKSHOP WITH MAUD ALCORN
April 29th, 5:30pm - 7:00pm
A writing workshop for women working through their own healing. 'On the Mend' will explore what it means to write, not for others to experience or feel, but to find our own way as we take on the task of healing ourselves, through our own words. This writing workshop will not focus on the outcome of writing, but the action of, and how we can heal ourselves through it.
DESIGNING POSSIBILITIES FOR THE WELLBEING OF BLACK WOMXN WITH DENISE SHANTÉ BROWN OF BLACK WOMXN FLOURISH

What would the future look like with more Black womxn redefining and designing what it means to be well?In this Design for Wellbeing session, we'll explore design as a liberatory tool that can actualize sites of healing for Black womxn's mind, body, soul and space. We'll ground in a holistic framework to reflect on our longings for more healing experiences in our personal and communal lives, collaboratively dream the life-giving worlds we want to see, and create tools that will bring us closer to a more just, pleasurable and flourishing future.
DEMYSTIFYING HEALTH & WELLNESS PANEL CONVERSATION
April 30th, 4:00pm - 6:00pm
What does “being well” look like as black womxn? What is an expansive definition of wellness? How do we navigate the healthcare landscape and advocate for ourselves as Black womxn? We will be discussing these questions and more during a panel discussion with womxn in the wellness space including clinicians, mental health experts, and more.
